History
William C. Cockerham Jr., a third generation construction specialist, founded W.C. Construction Company, LLC August 1, 2006 with a determination to extend the legacy of quality construction practices, instilled by his late grandfather Paul “Cliff” Cockerham and father William Cockerham Sr. His vision was to develop a general contracting company that stands behind every project and delivers what is promised.
W.C. Construction Company, LLC is comprised of knowledgeable professionals with over forty years of combined experience within the construction workforce. Our high level of professionalism, integrity and innovation has given us an advantage over our competitors in the construction industry today.
Our company focus is directed in areas of new building construction, additions, up-fitting/renovation and land development. In each of these areas of practice, our company provides general contracting, construction management, and/or design-build services.

William Cockerham Jr.
President, CEO
William has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, performing construction management and general contractor roles. In 2006, William founded W.C. Construction Company, LLC and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of preconstruction and construction phases.
As President and Owner, William has been recognized for the company’s well-developed project management skills, including the use of computer technology to track job progress, control project costs, and schedule operational tasks that enable project completion to be on time and under budget. He consistently delivers quality and excellence in workmanship.
Chris Hoover has more than 10 years of management experience in the construction industry. Specifically, in the areas of preconstruction management, estimating, bidding, subcontractor relations & project budgeting. Chris’s attitude and organization brings about a united goal: to ensure the delivery and execution of owner’s requests and to aid in the success of each project W.C. Construction is endeavored. Chris is an excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with the ability to ensure professional relationships in various diverse atmospheres. He is highly proficient and has the outstanding ability to manage/lead a team of estimators in assembling a Total Project Cost Estimate.
Alyssa rejoined W.C. Construction Company, LLC in December of 2013. She earned her degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Salem College and.
AJ Johnson is the lead estimator/project engineer and PM for W.C. Construction. She has over 10 years of project management experience and is an exceptional critical thinker with surpassed skills in problem solving. AJ is a proven relationship-builder with unrivaled interpersonal skills whose strengths include cultural sensitivity and an ability to build rapports with a diverse workforce in multicultural settings.
Agustin has over 25 years in the construction & management industry and specializes in institutional work. Agustin is dedicated to his work and is shown through his efforts of meeting and exceeding any challenge that he may encounter. Agustin’s ability to maintain an open relationship between subs, suppliers, architects and owners aids in his continual success.
Jack has served W.C. Construction for a little over 3 years now but has been involved in construction management for over 20! Jack’s most rewarding work has been projects in the medical industry because he knows that at the completion, he has been a part of something that will bring health to the ill. Though the medical industry is his most rewarding, Jack enjoys working in all construction industries because he loves a challenge.
In Jack’s free time, he is a musician who loves worshiping in the house of the Lord and watching Spongebob Squarepants.
Eric has nearly 30 years of construction management experience. Though his tenure here at W.C. Construction Company, LLC Andy has kept a tight ship when it comes to scheduling and cost effectiveness.
